How to play Court Piece

You and Noor play against Arjun and Maya. Each player gets 13 cards. Aces are high.

  1. Call trump. Look at your first five cards and select a suit. The remaining cards are then dealt.
  2. Follow suit. Play the same suit as the first card in a trick whenever you can. Otherwise, play any card.
  3. Win the trick. The highest trump wins; if no trump is played, the highest card in the led suit wins. The winner leads next.
  4. Take seven. The first partnership to win seven tricks wins the round. All 13 tricks are played out.

This table uses a casual Single Sir variant. The opening caller is you; after each round, the winning team calls trump, alternating callers within that team. An AI caller selects its strongest suit from its first five cards.
